Alcon DAILIES TOTAL1 Water Gradient Contact Lenses

DAILIES TOTAL1 is Alcon’s daily disposable silicone hydrogel contact lens collection. The lenses are made from delefilcon A and incorporate Water Gradient technology. Standard spherical, toric and multifocal options are available for different prescription requirements.

The Water Gradient structure increases from approximately 33% water at the lens core to approaching 100% at the outermost surface. This describes the lens material and surface structure; it is not a dry-eye treatment or a guarantee of identical comfort or wearing time for every user.

Compare the Three DAILIES TOTAL1 Options

Option Prescription Use Main Design Values to Confirm
Standard Myopia or hyperopia Water Gradient SPH power
Toric Myopia or hyperopia with astigmatism PRECISION BALANCE 8|4 SPH, CYL and AXIS
Multifocal Presbyopic prescriptions PRECISION PROFILE Distance power and ADD

Water Gradient and SmarTears Technologies

  • Delefilcon A: The silicone hydrogel material used by the DAILIES TOTAL1 collection.
  • Water Gradient: Water content increases from the lens core towards the outermost surface.
  • SmarTears: Releases an ingredient also found naturally in tears to interact with the tear-film lipid layer.
  • Daily replacement: Each lens is discarded after wear, with no cleaning solution or lens storage required.

DAILIES TOTAL1 for Astigmatism

The toric version incorporates the PRECISION BALANCE 8|4 lens design to support lens orientation for astigmatic prescriptions. Check the prescribed SPH, CYL and AXIS values, including any difference between the right and left eyes.

DAILIES TOTAL1 Multifocal

The multifocal version uses the PRECISION PROFILE optical design to support near, intermediate and distance vision requirements. Confirm the prescribed distance power and ADD. Visual performance and adaptation time can vary according to prescription, pupil characteristics and individual visual requirements.

Choosing the Correct Option

  • For a standard spherical prescription, select the standard version and confirm SPH.
  • If the prescription includes CYL and AXIS, select the toric version.
  • If the prescription includes an ADD value, select the multifocal version.
  • Check available powers, axes, ADD options, pack sizes and current supply status on the product page.

Prescription notice: Spectacle and contact lens prescriptions are not necessarily interchangeable. New wearers, customers changing brands and those requiring toric or multifocal correction should receive an eye examination and contact lens fitting. Discontinue wear and seek professional advice if persistent blur, redness, pain or discomfort occurs.
