Alcon TOTAL30 Water Gradient Monthly Contact Lenses

TOTAL30 is Alcon’s monthly silicone hydrogel contact lens collection. It uses lehfilcon A, Water Gradient technology and CELLIGENT surface technology. This category currently contains standard spherical and toric options.

TOTAL30 has 55% core water content with a higher-water treated surface. Monthly lenses require cleaning, disinfection and storage after removal and must be replaced according to the product instructions and professional advice. They are not intended to be worn continuously for 30 days.

Water Gradient and CELLIGENT Technologies

Lehfilcon A: A silicone-containing hydrogel material with 55% core water content.
Water Gradient: Water content increases towards the lens surface; the product instructions list surface water content of at least 90%.
CELLIGENT: A biomimetic surface technology evaluated in manufacturer in-vitro studies for lipid and bacterial attachment to the lens surface.
Monthly replacement: Replace according to the prescribed schedule and clean, disinfect and store after removal.

TOTAL30 for Astigmatism

The toric version incorporates the PRECISION BALANCE 8|4 lens design to support lens orientation for astigmatic prescriptions. Order according to the prescribed SPH, CYL and AXIS values.

TOTAL30 vs AIR OPTIX Monthly Lenses

TOTAL30 uses lehfilcon A with Water Gradient and CELLIGENT technologies. AIR OPTIX plus HydraGlyde uses lotrafilcon B with SmartShield and HydraGlyde Moisture Matrix. Both are Alcon monthly silicone hydrogel collections, but their materials, surface technologies and currently listed prescription options differ.

TOTAL30 Monthly Lens Care

Wash and dry your hands before handling the lenses.
Clean, rinse, disinfect and store the lenses according to the care-solution instructions.
Never use tap water, bottled water or saliva to clean the lenses or lens case.
Do not sleep in the lenses, extend daily wear or exceed the replacement schedule unless specifically prescribed.

Prescription notice: Spectacle and contact lens prescriptions are not necessarily interchangeable. New wearers, customers changing brands and those requiring astigmatism correction should receive an eye examination and contact lens fitting.
